New Low! Weather Recap

14 Jan

Blasts of arctic air dropped sub-zero temperatures on Blue Lake this week with January 14, 2009 setting a new season low of negative 18.8 degrees at 1:17 in the morning.  Despite those flesh-numbing digits, January has proved most brilliantly sunny with oft a day passing without so much as a cloud in the sky.

Meteorologists report that just shy of four feet of snow has fallen in the area this season with local trampers dropping that number to an unofficial two and a half feet of snow currently on the ground in untampered wooded areas.
