Unless there’s some kind of free pastry giveaway going on, Blue Lake Free Press is rarely up and about during the six o’clock hour, but fortunately, we know an enterprising person or two who is.  If you, too, are wondering what Blue Lake looks like during the  early morning hours, we are pleased to showcase the following photographs from a sublime July 5th morning:

    Dear Provost,
These are great pictures of the lake…I can hardly wait to get up there…(tomorrow night)! Anyway, I was driving my Mom and my Dad down Blue Lake Road in May about two years ago. We saw a bear leisurely saunter across the road just west of the Ahlborn’s cow pasture. The bear took his time crossing the road and we stopped right in the middle of the road and let him take his time…I wonder if the Blue Lake Bear is the same bear. Anyway, I am going to look for the Blue Lake Bear about 8:30 pm on the west side of the lake.
    Thanks Peggy
