Cold Camp Weekend

19 Jul

Battalions of families marched into the greater Blue Lake Metropolitan Area this weekend as the region hosted its annual “Camp Weekend” festivities. Young and old remained undeterred by late-fall-like chills and drizzle, dodged additional crowds swarming the area for the concurrently-held antithetical King of the Cage match-ups, and arrived in bundled droves to conduct field visits with their pals, et al., at local places of recreation. Agawak Road, throughway to the famed Camp Agawak, was thick with bike riders and general merry makers with radiant dispositions under cloudy skies. Early arrivals did, however, enjoy 15 minutes of sunlight on Friday night, starting approximately 7:25 p.m. Saturday remained glum with occasional Sunday morning clearing.

P.S. A Blue Lake compatriot or two beseeches, if the sun always shines at Camp Agawak, how about radiating some rays on your neighbors, too?
