Blue Lake Roads Drive

8 Oct

A few days ago, I found an old, old video camera and a Hi-8 tape that had been frozen, thawed and refrozen countless times.  I did what only came naturally.  I put the tape in the camera, duct taped the camera to my dashboard, pressed record and went for a drive down the roads of Blue Lake.  It was a bright sunny day at the beginning of the warm spell right when the leaves were reaching their peak colors.  Some parts of the film are definitely overexposed but I was surprised to see that most of the footage is recognizable.  See if you can spot neighborhoods on Hacker Drive, Blue Lake Road, Blue Lake Pines Road, Blue Lake Island Road, Helmar Road, Agawak Road, Streater Road, Bobcat Lake Road and Blue Lake Point Road in the video below:

UPDEATE 10/10/11 – Apologies that the audio on this video have been muted.  I’ve disputed it and am looking for additional ways to put this video back on the blog the right way.  But, you can still enjoy the pictures!

We are sitting in Shanghai China on a Sunday morning enjoying all of the beautiful fall colors around the BLMA thanks to you! Can you take your camera out in a boat too? :-) The tour was wonderful. Thanks for sharing the video!

I am glad you enjoyed the video! I am trouble shooting some sharing problems with it right now but I’d like to get out on the water some day soon while the air is still warm and it’s calm and make another short video.
